Registration is now open on the MCLE website! Please join us in-person or virtually for this upcoming MCLE conference co-sponsored by MMLA along with the Massachusetts Municipal Association! We are especially honored to have Lt. Governor Driscoll attending the conference this year as our keynote speaker. She is a former member of the MMLA, served as City Solicitor for Salem and was the Salem Mayor before becoming the Lieutenant Governor. Please make every effort to attend the conference in person so we can have a strong in-person showing for our former colleague. She is one of the highest ranking state officials to attend one of our conferences; AG Scott Harsbarger was the first!

Our June monthly lunch and learn webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 10th at noon. This month's speaker is Sean Grammel of Anderson Kreiger. Sean was counsel on the recently decided Grafton & Upton Railroad v. Burt case and will be sharing lessons learned from the case regarding common law immunity.

Save the date for MMLA's 2026 Annual Conference. This year we are returning to the South Coast to the "Whaling City" of New Bedford on Thursday and Friday, October 1 and 2, 2026. The conference will be at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in historic downtown New Bedford on the waterfront, with our programming events taking place at the adjoining Waypoint Event Center. Arrive early and stay late as there is lots of stuff to do and sights to see in the area, including the Whaling Museum and the Whaling National Historic Park.
