The Town of Falmouth seeks an experienced, highly motivated, creative attorney to serve as the Associate Town Counsel in the Town’s Law Department. Town Counsel’s Office provides legal advice and advocates for the Town of Falmouth, its boards, officers and elected officials in all areas of municipal law.

Falmouth’s coastal and natural resources attract and support a vibrant, responsive and responsible community. Under the general direction of Town Counsel, the Associate Counsel plays an integral role in supporting the Town in its pursuit of protecting these resources while promoting sensible and sustainable growth and providing safe and reliable services. Associate Town Counsel works closely with Town officials, providing legal support and advice in the areas of land use, zoning, planning, building and health code enforcement, affordable housing, and real estate. An inspired and thoughtful approach to municipal land use is instrumental to the Town’s ability to create affordable housing, provide long-term solutions for clean water, and craft achievable plans for the future of the Town’s beaches, tidal waters, forests and open space.
